Wyverns are similar in form to Dragons, although they have no arms, only two powerful legs. They make their nests in the World's Edge Mountains, and are used often by the more powerful Orc warbosses as mounts. As well as their teeth and claws, they can attack with their spiked tail, which is barbed and venomous and can lash out to impale their foes. Black Crag is known for Poisonwing Canyon, a gorge full of Wyverns.
Not even an Orc is daft enough to try and tame a fully-grown Wyvern, but they can often "persuade" a Goblin, or other subordinate to steal a newborn Wyvern, or an egg from one of their high mountain clutches. The training process that a newborn Wyvern undergoes is far from foolproof. Many would-be trainers lose limbs, and some even perish in the process.

While there are few beasts as ill-tempered and unpredictable as a greenskin, the Wyvern seems to fit the bill admirably. The massive creatures can be mistaken for Dragons from a distance, but no Dragon would submit to being ridden by a being as ignoble as an Orc.
Wyverns have vast leathery wings that allow them to fly, and a long, sinuous tail that drips with deadly venom. Formidable combatants in their own right, Wyverns are doubly dangerous when they choose to allow Orc warriors of great power to be borne into battle upon their backs.
