[edit] Images

I'll have to ask - where have you gotten these pictures? Image:Grimgor2.jpg, Image:Crom.jpg, Image:Grimgor.jpg, Image:Symbol of Myrmidia.jpg and Image:Ulric.jpg? If these are official WAR concepts (which I don't think due to the style and that I haven't seen any of them before) please tag them with { {ConceptArt}} (without the spaces) else, please make sure the uploading of these images does not break copyright laws (I'm not really the guy to tell you this since I don't know much more than that it's okay to post images from the official site if you tag them) Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 20:28, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

The images of Grimgor and Crom is from the story at [1], the one with Ulric is from [2] and I found the Myrmidian Symbol by googling it, but it is from the WFRP core rulebook.. Honestly I never really thought of copyrights etc. but i doubt the pics from games workshops pages would cause any problems.. -Rovdyr 20:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Right now, the only images we're accepting are ones that have been released by EA Mythic on their official site as publicity material for Warhammer Online. We're claiming that these easily fall under the "fair use" terms of the disclaimer. Artwork and other images produced by GW are unlikely to be classed as "fair use", since they're used to promote GW's own Warhammer games separate to WAR. GW have given EA Mythic permission to use their IP, but they do not have permission to use any images copyrighted by GW, and neither do we.
I know this kind of stuff is a pain, but GW are fairly strict about fansites infringing on their copyrights, so we don't want to antagonise them unnecessarily. But with all the amazing art coming from the WAR team, I'm not too concerned ;) - Pendrako talk 11:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
So the pics should be deleted? It'll make the Grimgor article look so empty S= -Rovdyr 11:58, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Good work on Bretonnia

Just wanted to say I appreciate all the good work you're doing with the Bretonnia articles - I knew we had a bit of a gap of information there, but you've cleared a lot of it up (I know little about Bretonnia, so I couldn't really help). There are days when it gets pretty lonely around here, and it's nice to know that people are putting effort in and helping out :)

Oh also, don't be afraid to expand that Louen Longestnameever-clour article. You're perfectly welcome to add large articles to HammerWiki (we want people to contribute). But what would be even better is if you could add new information without waffling on / going off on a tengent. As long as the article gets to the point and is successful in what it's trying to do (make a good explanation of the character) there should be no problem (as long as it doesn't get to be like Nagash). In case you're worried, just see HammerWiki:Style and formatting for info. ~ Revoran | talk 13:30, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Uh, btw, when adding info in lore articles try not to make too many red links unless you actually know you'll come back to them and add info later on (or unless it's a really really important article), otherwise we get a very clogged up Wanted pages list. ~ Revoran | talk 13:34, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Well thanks, It's always nice to see that your work is appreciated, and it removes that loneliness feeling :) and I'll try to keep the red links down, and get the articles to the point, to be honest I didn't even think about the Wanted List getting clogged. The reason I'm nervous about long articles is that my first article was Grimgor Ironhide, wich I think most people noticed was quite long..
And I completely agree, Louen Leoncoeurs parents must have hated him, to name him like that :P -Rovdyr 21:07, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
By the way, when I get to work on the individual dukedoms, would it be best to make one article, with a general overview of all the dukedoms, or an article for each of the 14 dukedoms? -Rovdyr 21:11, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
And congratulations on becoming an admin! :P
Thanks, i'm trying to do my best - make sure to tell me if you think I can improve, or if I can help in any way. I think it's just GW being over obsessed with the whole French thing, those crazy hippies... Erm, well that really depends on how large the section on each Dukedom. If you can make a good explaination of each dukedom in 9 - 15 lines, then there's really no need for separate articles. However if they get to be the size of Averland or even Reikland then you'll want to make separate pages. It's not too big of a deal, as long as they're all linked to from other pages and categorized, we can change them later to however they're needed. If you do end up making short blubs on each; it might be a good idea to add them at the bottom of the Bretonnia article, similar to Tilea. If you don't mind; could you copy+paste this discussion to either the Bretonnia page or the Louen... (erm, yeah) page. That way people will be able to see what direction those pages are taking and we won't have to link back to your usertalk if we want to explain a change in the article. Let me know where it is and we could continue the talk there. ~ Revoran | talk 05:26, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Copy-Pasting to Talk:Bretonnia..
