Want to know a little bit more about me?

I'm a 18 year old german student who just finished the Gymnasium, the german equivalent of High School, in June of this year, graduating in the majors Latin and English and minor subjects Biology and History. As some people might have guessed already, I'm planning on becoming a journalist, as I love getting information to the people.

I am a big MMO fan, I've tried and/or played almost every MMO out in the last 6 or 7 years, though only a few such as DAoC held my interest for more than a few weeks.

I've written some lore guides for WHA/the general WAR community, so I decided why not give it a shot and help out the people at HammerWiki some?

Let's start with a little surprise - I'm actually quite new to the Warhammer Lore compared to some other people I have encountered on WHA. Basically, I started exploring the world of Warhammer fantasy when I heard of WAR shortly after Mythic aquired the license. I had played Dawn of War before, but I never really got into the lore of 40K much. Anyway, when I heard of WAR and decided I was going to play it, I did what I always do when I decide on playing a game of this calibre - I immersed myself in the lore. You see, I'm the kind of person who loves to know about the background and all the little bits that make the game special storywise.

Though it kinda left a heavy hole in my wallet, I bought quite a number of books, both novels and source books such as the Liber Chaotica (which is by far my favourite Warhammer book, btw).

Needless to say, I devoured all of them in very little time. I was fascinated and very, very pleasantly surprised by the richness of the lore. In the first months waiting for release, I aquired more and more sources of lore, armybooks, etc. though I never got into playing the TT.

Eventually, I had satisfied my hunger for knowledge and started to follow and discuss the upcoming game once again in terms of gameplay, as I now had the foundation in the lore I deemed necessary to get into the discussions.

So that's what got me into the world of Warhammer.

Well, as so many of you, I try to gather information about stuff HammerWiki hasn't covered yet. Lately, I've mainly rewritten the Zone Overviews from the Newsletters whenever they came out and made some articles about them.
