[edit] Cert. Fanatic
I've been playing Warhammer and GW games, off and on, for nineteen years now, since the third edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battle. I collect Tzeentch mainly (mortal Horde, Daemonic Legion, and Thousand Sons in 40k), so my main character in WAR will probably be a Zealot. I used to play Blood Bowl and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay as well for a while, but I've too many demands on my time these days to play anything apart from the occasional game - one of the unfortunate consequences of having a proper real life job.
I've been looking forward to a Warhammer Online game since the original Climax incarnation. If I had to make a choice between the old version and the new Mythic version, based on the information we've been given, it would be a tough call, but I'd have to go for the latest incarnation, if only because it captures more of the things that I like about Warhammer - the rivalries between the races, the richness of background to the world, the tongue in cheek humour. Hopefully I'll be able to use the stuff I've picked up over the years about the Warhammer background to contribute to the articles on Hammerwiki, because I've got a feeling that this game is going to need a good wiki behind it, and the more content we can add to it the more fun the game will be to play.
[edit] Where do I hang out?
The Sons of Chaos is my RP regiment of choice, but I'll also be serving with the Wageless Inquisition for Key Information when the game is released.
I'm an ex-admin and occasional contributor at Warhammer Alliance.
I've also set up a page on GuildCafé.
[edit] What else?
I wrote a WAR career quiz. Give it a try. It's still WiP though, so if you've any suggestions about how to improve it leave feedback here on the WHA forums.
A list of random facts about me that you probably don't want to know, but what the hell. I'm currently living in London, working as an engineer, working on a small project in Hackney called the Olympics. But that's my day job, I've also been a DJ, gig promoter, road manager and I've run my own indie record label, all in my free time. I once made a new years resolution to go to one gig a week for the entire year, which I just about managed to do. I've done a few bits of web design and graphic design for friends. I also helped to run something called Project Phoenix, but that's currently lying dormant in a file labelled 'secret'.
If you've read this far, thanks, but now you need to go and rebalance your karma by doing some useful work for the same amount of time it took you to read this page.
