[edit] Who Is This Woman?
Najwalaylah is a future Warhammer player who has been dotting t's and crossing her eyes since 2003.
She has had the game sitting in a box on her desk for some time, now, but has not installed it yet.
She plans to play on the server known as Azazel as an Archmage, where she has promised (if she is good enough at her chosen career) to tie herself to a certain Bright Wizard's side so she can nurse him through explosions. This will probably have to wait either forever or at least until Darkfall has had its debut.
[edit] Modest Plugs
She and that certain Bright Wizard and a bunch of other fellas and ladies may be found posting at Mordkessel.Com, though Najwalaylah herself (known there as "Lepida") is not yet a member (c.f. 'good enough'). Mordkessel (a Warhammer Guild on Azazel) represents a group of quality players who might be recruiting at this time.
[edit] Other Wikis
Najwalaylah (through a combination of circumstances too bizarre to enter into here) is a SysAdmin on the MorlochWiki, "a freely editable database of... knowledge" about the game of Shadowbane-- despite the fact that she does not currently play that game, either.
[edit] Pet Peeves
- (Attention Conservation Notice: Don't worry about peeving me or anyone, or about where your apostrophes go. Just write what you know and let those who don't (like me) worry about the proofreading. The information below is only for those times when a grammarian isn't available.)
I have a police evidence locker full of apostrophes I have confiscated from people who think that every instance of the letters i, t, s must have one.
The only people who make me fear more for the happy future of the Human Race as a sentient species are the people who never put an apostrophe in "its".
It's really simple.
- It is. If it is "it is", it gets its apostrophe.
- If it's just the possessive form of "it" (as above), it isn't entitled to one.
- If it's "it has", then we may safely write "If it's got an apostrophe, that's okay".
