[edit] Abilities

Some footage from Games Day Atlanta displaying Zealot skills. Sorry, no time to add them myself. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_u_7hcfw-Y Adei 19:06, 4 May 2007 (CDT)

Thanks, that's a great vid. I'll write the skills up later. --Pendrako 08:21, 5 May 2007 (CDT)

[edit] Main Healer?

Quick question from an impatient gamer who is still waiting on his copy of the Beta. Hey guys I was just wondering if the Zealot is the main healer for the Destruction side. I've read all the stuff on this site about all three support careers but I just want to make sure. If you have any other useful info on the other healer classes that would help me make my decision that would be awesome too.

All the support classes can have the same healing potential, although only the Zealot can use it's full potential without damaging enemies (the only real heal-bot career) Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 20:10, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Career Ability structure

I have been working on the structure of the Zealot abilities (Zealot Actions, Zealot Morale Abilities and Zealot Tactics), when I am done with a satisfying structure I will start doing this for the rest of the careers, I would like all possible feedback on this asap, if I make 2 or 3 careers a day I'll be finished with a full list of abilities for all careers in at maximum a week. So, I would like anyone that reads this to tell me their honest opinion, pros and cons of the current layout, change of table set-ups etc. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 13:02, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

I like it. Nice breakdown between trainers and masteries, tells you exactly what you have to do to get an ability/morale/tactic. I'm curious though why we decided to go with three different tables/pages instead of one chart with all the learnable skills. Since we can make the table sortable, I think it would be easy to add a column for ability/morale/tactic and let users sort by that. Zwidar 14:22, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
So, like, only four tables, one for trained abilities and one for each mastery? It's a good thing for seeing what you get through level progression, actually I see no real disadvantages of it! Except that they are very different in game. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 14:35, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
I would like some more opinions before, if anyone oppose that I should put morale abilities, actions and tactics in the same table. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 18:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
What I realised is that it would screw up the possibility to sort by morale rank for morale abilities... I'm not sure how much of a loss this is, but it should be considered.Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 23:22, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Couldn't you just add a number after the word "Morale" if it's a morale ability? Ie: if it's a level 1 Morale, then put "Morale (1)". This way when clicking on the "ability type" column, it would sort morale abilities according to their rank/level/whatever. Unless I misunderstood you? ~ Revoran | talk 01:33, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Hm, that would work, probably won't have time fixing it this until next week though. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 01:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Personally when I look up abilities I like to see what's available at the trainers at what rank. When Morals, Tactics and Actions are split into multiple tables or pages it becomes easier to overlook what's available now. swankykitty 15:56, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

(reset indent)How would it be easier to look through three different tables to find out what's available for your rank rather than than having one table where you sort by level so you find all that's available for level X on the same place? Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 16:18, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry Sunspots it was worded poorly. That's exactly what I meant. It's easier to just look at a single table and say "Hey, I have a morale available this level!" I plan on using the same format you decide on for the Squig Herder Squig Herder Morale Abilitiesswankykitty 16:35, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Ah, yes, see Zealot Abilities for a possible layout I'm working on (I haven't added tactics yet) Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 16:58, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm starting to think a good candidate for a separate table may be any ability learned from a Mastery Tree. Squig Herder Abilities Still filling in abilities, will probably take me a little while. swankykitty 17:25, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, all abilities in the list is so far ones that you don't get from a mastery, I will either make one table for each mastery or one table for all masteries when I'm done with structuring this. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 18:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
