[edit] druchii mounts

so far there is just specualtion of the cold ones being the possible mounts for the darkelves, but i dont think you can have a dark elf army with out the household knights and their nauglir. cant have one with out the other i think, it would be wierd though if the nauglir were not made. anyone feel the same? ~tomo

[edit] Revamp

Think of having a general explaination page explainning what mounts are, and ecventually When the game goes into Open Beta (or at the very least Live) We can add more information about How tog et a mount, mechanics, cost, Sped increase, Upgrades (if any). Thats for the Mount page. Then on that page, we have a seperate place or table for each faction which links to another page of their appropriate mount wioth more explaination specific to the mount regarding upgrades. Also, if we have other mount types which are not generally linked to a player's race they will be linked off to their own article from this page. KoalaMeatPie 15:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Pre-Yow! How do you like? Information to be added in as we get it. If there are any "exotic" mounts, shouldn't they be in a seperate Table? As for the Faction banners, I tok them from the concept banners, reduced them. I tried to have them in the same column as the Racial name, but it would center them and amde them look, bleh. As you can see, I've also created a seperate page for each mount where a description and factual information can be entered as we obtain it. --KoalaMeatPie 17:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I like the way it looks now, but don't you think that we're getting a lot of stubs with a page for each mount? And yes, I do think we should make a seperate table for special mounts. -Rovdyr 11:35, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you and You're absolutely right, it's a lot of stubs. We don't know much about mounts other than "there will be mounts". However, we can still build the backbone, the structure of the wiki in preperation for the information, the additions, so It doesn't get too overwhelling when it does happen. I don't know if you have seen GuildWiki on the openning weekend of a new expantion, the weapons / bosses pages are just a disorganised mess, same section repeated three times, 5 people trying to make it into [there own vision] of coherency, so you have 3 differnt types of tables .. bleh. Build the Structure, add modules onto it. Like the space Station, or Pamela Anderson. (Plaaaaaaastic.) --KoalaMeatPie 20:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Although it does sound quite interresting, I've never played Guild Wars and thus never been to their wiki.. But I suppose we could do it like this as a preparation for Open Beta/Release where we'll learn more of the mounts. -Rovdyr 23:35, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
The mounts were always going to have to be split into their separate articles, so it's good that you're taking the initiative to do this. The only problem with doing something like this before we've got all the info we need is that you cause even more confusion by mis-labelling things. For example, I'm fairly sure the Dwarf mount will end up being called something other than "Dwarf mount". But I guess we can sort that out later if we need to. - Pendrako talk 06:38, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Table

Whoever m is, great job on the table --KoalaMeatPie 19:13, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Oh, uh, thanks, that was me :). I just copied the style of the other tables I made and aliged some stuff into the center... and changed the images - it was no big deal. I was sure I wrote dowm what I did in some talk page... but oh well. ~ Revoran 04:15, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dorfs

I love that out of all races Dwarves don't actually ride a beast, but a machine. Coz there is no way you could ever get a sane dwarf up on a horse.

Although I completely agree with you, I must use the Immortal words of Ragestorm, admin of WoWWiki, and say "This Is Not A Forum!!" -Rovdyr 14:44, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
What about the cheezburgers? Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 13:18, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Magus

I could find the video / source for the Maus Disc mount, but I know I herd it ou of the Hickman's mouth. --KoalaMeatPie 11:02, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] trophies on Mounts

Ok as everyone has likely realized my shindig is the whole trophy aspect of the game.

So anyways i am currently keeping track of what the status is on afixing trophies to mounts as it does not apear to have been implemented yet. I put in info stating so, but if anyone finds out more info on this please update the info :) ~Shadowpaw

[edit] Mount Sizes

Well its official they have said they will be releasing new mount sizes, types and strengths during the next couple months as they release the live expansion.

In any case i'm excited it will be nice to see that not everyone has the exact same mount. Also it will be adding more incentives for people to join guilds as well, as they will be making guild only mounts and such. Hopefully this wil reduce the number of anti guild people as well.

If we are real lucky they will even add trophy slots on mounts like they had origionaly planned. ~Shadowpaw

Definitely looking forward to this. My Warrior Priest dinged rank 20 over the weekend, and my guild was a hair from rank 25 when I logged out yesterday morning. As soon as the servers come up, I'm getting one of the new mounts; I'm even sitting in Altdorf. -- Heaven's Agent 17:34, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] New Mount Info

What is the plan with listing the new mounts. I have not seen the new detro mounts yet but i have seen all the order and seems there is now 3 types to pick from for each race. I like my new Elven Black Pinto : D

There are six basic mounts available for each race now, actually; once a guild attains rank 25, they gain access to 3 more patterns that can be purchased from the guild merchant. And at guild rank 37, members can purchase any of three advanced mount. These sport armor, are slightly faster, and have a slightly reduced chance of being dismounted when damage is taken.
Personally, my focus at the moment is Bitter Rivals, but when the Event's over I was planning on starting work on the mounts page(s). I was planning on this article being an index, leading to an individual page for each race showing images of the mounts available. And then, as individual items, each mount would get its own article as well. Though it might take some time for us to be able to take screen caps of the rank 37 mounts. -- Heaven's Agent 17:47, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I would suggest that for each given basic mount for a race is left how it is on this page but when they click the link to the specific mount that page will list the diferent colors and such like HA suggested... this is because they are still essentialy the same...
However for the guild mounts i suggest we make a new table on this page for guild mounts as they are diferent stat's etc... ~Shadowpaw 18:49, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] New Mounts Page Format

Our current listing of mounts is subpar at best, especially considering the addition of new mounts with the most recent update. I've been meaning to rework all our portals for some time now, and this is as good a place to start as any.

I'm working on the format for mount pages over at my Sandbox. Feel free to take a look at what I have and please leave feedback, either on my talk page or here, as I'll be twisting and tweaking it until I get a final design. The current layout borrows heavily from Blizzard's WoW Mounts sections, but I hope to establish something uniquely ours before I'm finished. I just needed to get something up to start with. -- Heaven's Agent 20:38, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
