[edit] Usage of Mutations

Are mutations cast as buffs or are they permanent weapons? Darktemplar56 03:03, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

From the available information at the moment, it seems they are mainly buff-like abilities. » Bishop · talk « 09:33, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
They're not permanent, but they're not exactly buffs either. They work more like stances - Marauders can switch between different mutations in combat for different effects. There's 3 that have been mentioned - a claw arm, a blade arm and a club arm - and each gives you access to new skills which work best against different targets. You can look it up in the 2nd beta update and in this video.
And yes, it's probably time this article had a re-write. ;) - Pendrako talk 09:40, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
To answer an old post, the mutations are like stances. ~ Gigaboost- 22:19, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

yo marauder is paired with white lion, not shadow warrior. squig herder is with shadow warrior.

I don't know about that anon, have a read of these articles http://www.massively.com/2008/06/04/massively-goes-to-war-the-classes-of-warhammer-in-a-nutshell/

I think the question is whether one is considering pairings as based on mechanics or based on role. The Shadow Warrior and the Marauder share the same mechanics (to an extent) in that they both use stance-type abilities. However, the role of the Shadow Warrior is more akin to that of the Squig Herder: that of mobile harasser. As far as I am concerned, there's no pressing need to talk about "class pairings" at all. And if people feel it necessary to point out the obvious shared mechanics between some of the classes (less obvious now that some of the initially planned classes have been removed), notes could be made pointing out these similarities without talking a bout a pairing. » Bishop · talk « 23:06, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gender

Is it just male, or will there be female Marauders? I could've sworn I saw some concept art of female marauders, but may have been just something random on Deviantart. 67.70.130.14 21:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Marauders are male only. Concept art must be fake or reeeeeaaaaaalllly old.

[edit] Abilities Update

Going through and listing all of the abilities today - and what mutations (stances) they can be used in. For numerical effects, should we wait until 40 to post those? Best solution seems to post numericals at rank 40 effectiveness with empty/full mastery versions. --Welovekah 16:10, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
