Talk:List of Fansites
From HammerWiki
Warhammer Conflict should now be moved to one of the "official" list, because they are now listed on the WarhammerOnline.com site.
[edit] Public access
I believe at least a reasonable degree of public access is a prerequisite to be considered a fan site. Closed forums, guild sites and other sites that provide nothing to the community at large should not be listed, at least not until such time as we separate the fan sites into subcategories and/or subpages. - I agree completely. I believe eventual guild pages, or a repository of guild websites might be warranted - but not now. Seconded! --Mikeblack 23:02, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Categorization
This is getting to the stage where a bit of categorization might be in order. I mean, it is kinda long, you know. I was thinking:
- Information databases (ie HammerWiki, WHA's WoWhead type thing, WAR-RvR's database... etc)
- Public Forums/Messageboards (Warhammer Vault, WHA, WAR-RvR, etc)
- IRC and chat channels
- Blogs + Webcomics (SLM, A touch of Tentacle, Keen's gaming blog - oh interestingly enough, MMO Wikis now redirects to a blog)
And perhaps separate into different language sections, with sites listed in aphabetical order in each. Thoughts? ~ Revoran | talk 16:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cannot add links to page
I just tried to add a link to war.allakhazam.com but the spam-blocker would not let me enter the fuzzy word. It just sits there or loops back as if I had failed. --Bludwyng 06:24, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- You're gonna wanna contact User:Bishop or more likely, User:KyleH. ~ Revoran | talk 06:32, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
