Talk:Guild

From HammerWiki

This page needs to be updated to look more like this: http://www.wowwiki.com/Guild.

If I get more time I'll begin some formatting / simplifying / structuring of the content on Hammer Wiki. Unfortunately my 10,000 jobs don't leave the free time during the week. -- Markusmad

That's a good point, but it's one of those things that should be built up as more info is released about how regiments are going to work in the game. We know how they will probably work, based on what we've seen in other games, but that won't neccessarily be how they work in WAR.
I removed the links you added to the Online Guild Directory. At the moment, it's not especially useful, but of course that could change in the future. --Pendrako 01:33, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

[edit] Living guilds and other updates...

This article really needs to be updated! I'm going to try to scrap together some info, but I'd appreciate if someone else also checked what he/she can find. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 14:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

The Warhammer presentations in Europe have offered a lot information I think, and we could at least add the confirmed bits of guild-captured keeps, as that's a pretty big deal.I've never really edited anything on any Wiki before, so it'd be cool if someone could help me out on this. Hopefully someone around here still works on this, so we could figure out what to add. -Sulgar, 19/4/2008
Hi Sulgar, welcome to the wiki! I'll point you in the direction of the how to help page for now, but if there's anything else you need to know you can ask questions on people's talk pages.
This is becoming a pretty big issue, and not only for this article. The game information articles are being generally neglected in favour of the lore articles. We really should be paying a bit more attention to the videos and interviews that are coming out, to keep on top the latest iteration of key game mechanics. Unfortunately, both Bishop and myself have a lot of demands on our free time right now, just at the point when we're starting to get a surge of information coming from press events and conventions. I try to keep on top of things, but every time I make a mental note to update something on the wiki, I get distracted by something else that's going on. Luckily, being quite an old-fashioned guy, I've been keeping proper notes in an old-fashioned paper notebook that I keep next to my PC, so I'll go through it and see what I can dig out. There's definitely some stuff about regiments in there. - Pendrako talk 13:13, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Guild - not Regiment

The devs calls it guild, the screens and videos says guild. Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 23:10, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

As much as I'd rather not admit it, you're right. It's time to re-name this article. - Pendrako talk 06:58, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Looks like you're right. There was a time when they were adamant on calling them regiments, but I guess they reneged on that. » Bishop · talk « 14:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
I vote to remove the term Regiment totally from the article - there is no reference to them as Regiments in game, and the in-game menu refers to them as guilds, not regiments. For right now I'll change it to "formerly known as Regiments" but if we feel it should be removed, go ahead. Slinky317 15:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Some information on ranks and rewards

Good thread on WHA in case someone feels like brushing up on this article with additional information: http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65899 --» Bishop · talk « 22:44, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Moved From Article

  • (Moved 04/30/2009) - Question: Level 40 players no longer get experience. Does the experience they would have gained from killing still contribute to guild rank? Answer: I have experimentally confirmed this. Had all other members log out and an hour later (so guild xp stabilized) began to grind rank 41 mobs in a non-PQ area with a rank 40 character. Guild XP increased. - Amalisa <Seekers of Illumination>
