[edit] Non Canon
Shouldn't it be mentioned that all of this is non canon in the other, main, Warhammer universe. I assume that's the case, since it's such a massive event and isn't being referenced outside of the game and the novelisations?
- Actually, I was under the impression that it was cannon, hence the reason why Mythic has to run everything by Games Workshop before adding it. If anyone has sources stating one way or the other, give me a heads up; I'll dig and see what I can find on the matter. -- Heaven's Agent 04:22, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, gennerally they do run everything before the owner first. For instance, no one would consider Lord of the Rings Online canon, but I'm sure they have to run it through with the Tolkien Enterprises to make sure it's in line with their standards. Since we haven't seen the AoR in any of Games Workshop's products, I assumed it was non canon. I'll try and dig up some sources shortly. 71.31.103.149 04:15, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Have a look at this. It's early on in the interview. http://www.rpgfan.com/features/mythic-interview/index.html 71.31.103.149 04:24, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Good find. That said, when I went to add it to the article I noticed the second sentence already states this is the case:
- "Set outside of the main Warhammer timeline, the events and conflicts of the Age of Reckoning have been tailored to provide the best possible setting for an MMORPG while still mirroring the basic elements of the classic game."
- Anyway, thanks for bringing it up; I'm still a tad behind on the IP's lore, and clarification like this is good for me. ;D -- Heaven's Agent 04:41, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
