[edit] Scaling structure
I was thinking about how we should put up tables for skills' level scaling, anyone got ideas? ∞ Sunspots {Talk | Contribs} 19:13, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Abilities/Morale/Tactics/Actions
Now, this is a messy subject, we basically have a catch-all term (abilities) and 3 specific terms for three elements that while having some synergy, lack any sort of real competition (equipping/using an action doesn't prevent from equipping/using a morale or a tactic, while using a tactic fills a slot preventing the use of a different tactic).
My personal opinion is that we should have 4 pages:
- an ability page (could eventually be merged with the career main page or a gamestyle/mechanics page, which is very desirable in my opinion, it would make pages like Balance actually useful) with:
- brief description of what the gamestyle of said career is
- the links to the other three pages
- a tactic page with
- list of tactics
- a brief introduction to their use (no specific builds, those deserve a different page, like "swordmaster's abilities are mostly dedicated to slightly improve the damage, improve their survivability, or give other generic support/tanking utility")
- a morale page with
- morale list
- brief intro
- an action page with
- an action list
- brief intro.
All the lists in ONE sortable table (one per page, duh) that let people toy with the tool as much as they want, abilities that require a mastery need to have a column that specify it, not to be separated in a different table, we can put a little note in the Path column ("Path of Brotherhood" *break* "requires 5 Mastery Points") sparing us from actually adding a column (which might be useful tho for sorting purposed). --SirRandomage 07:31, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
