Spawn

Spawn is the term used to describe an NPC appearing, as well as the location where an NPC spawns. An NPC can also disappear, known as despawning/de-spawning), due to certain game mechanics, which is not the same as death. Spawning after a death is known as Respawning, but the term respawn, or repop (from 'repopulate'), can also refer to the NPC that respawned. Additionally, spawn can be used when talking about a location where players can respawn.
