Order objective marker
Destruction objective marker

Battlefield locations in WAR will be designated as such by objective markers. These markers include the Flag and a few barriers scattered around the objective. Players will be able to fight for control of these markers in open world RvR territories (known as RVR Lakes), which will give the controlling side a set amount of victory points.

Objective markers will change in appearance depending on which faction has control of them. Objectives controlled by Order will look like High Elf waystones, while those controlled by Destruction will look like Chaos monoliths or herdstones.

Objectives are generally guarded by 5 NPCs, one of whom is a powerful Sergeant. The Sergeant has the ability to provide a buff to players of his faction.

To capture an objective from the other faction, all NPC guards must be cleared from the objective and the Flag used. Like most world objects, attempting to use the Flag can be interrupted by NPCs or enemy players. At this point, the objective is immediately captured by the opposing faction and renown points are awarded. If the objective is not retaken by the original side within 3 minutes, another set of renown points is awarded to any player protecting the site, the objective will become incontestable for a full fifteen minutes and an animation will display showing the new markers rising from the ground.
