The Melee DPS career archetype is a fast attack skirmisher, relatively lightly armored, with the potential to deal out “absurd damage versus a single target”. Their attacks are typically very focused, able to find and exploit weaknesses in the enemy's strategy.
Melee careers are least effective versus heavily armored tank careers.
