The Golden Host of Mahrak

As part of the Great Tithe summoned by King Settra, the Golden Host marched out of Mahrak to the succour of Khemri. When they lived, the Golden Host bore weapons made of precious metals. In death, however, they had become their namesake – by walking through pools of molten gold. Before the Gates of Khemri, the Golden Host of Mahrak was pursued by Luthor Harkon and his piratical crew.^[1a]
