Tome TextEdit

Ubiquitous companions of man, hounds of all shapes and sizes live alongside their masters in the settlements of the Empire. While some dogs are beloved pets, others are used for hunting or guard duty. Because of the varied nature of the species, each breed has its own purpose.

Fighting dogs known as mastiffs are a large breed of domesticated dog bred for blood sports such as bear-baiting and dog-fighting, and they are capable of great loyalty to their masters and ferocious savagery towards outsiders.

In the cities of the Empire, it is common to see Rat Catchers accompanied by small, vicious terriers. In pastoral areas, it is more common to see dogs in the roles of herders, aiding shepherds in controlling their flocks.
