The quality of an article should be rated according to the following system:

[edit] Featured Articles

Good articles which have been or are currently featured on the main page of Hammerwiki, the best content on Hammerwiki. See HammerWiki:Featured articles. Good articles can be nominated as featured article candidates at any time.

[edit] Good Articles

A Good article:

  1. Must be on a topic relevant to many parts of WAR and/or the Warhammer Background, or to a specific topic which is a core/extremely important part of WAR or Warhammer Background.
  2. Comprehensively and clearly covers every aspect of it's topic.
  3. Has an ample amount of links to other pages, but not so much that extra (unneeded) information is added simply for the sake of having links.
  4. Is divided into sub-sections which summarise sub-topics of the article and provide links to them, sections should also be used to separate paragraphs
  5. Has images where necessary and appropriate, and all images linked in the article contain copyright information and not be candidates for deletion.
  6. Has templates and/or tables where and if necessary.
  7. Follows all applicable style and formatting guidelines for article writing on Hammerwiki.

[edit] Decent Articles

A Decent article:

  1. Is on a specific topic relevant to some part/s of WAR or the Warhammer Background.
  2. The highest most articles can aim for - some Decent Articles have no chance of ever becoming Good Articles simply because of their topic. This is OK and normal.
  3. Comprehensively covers every aspect of it's topic.
  4. May be divided into sub-sections which detail or summarise applicable information as necessary.
  5. Has all or most images which are necessary, and all images linked contain copyright information, or if there is a large amount of images in the article, most contain copyright information.
  6. Has templates and/or tables where and if necessary.
  7. Follows all or almost all applicable style and formatting guidelines for article writing on Hammerwiki.

[edit] Cleanup Needed

Cleanup Needed articles:

  1. Is on a topic relevant to WAR or the Warhammer Background.
  2. Covers all or some aspects of it's topic.
  3. May be divided into sub-sections which go into too much detail or summarise too briefly applicable or non-applicable information.
  4. May contain some images which are not applicable to the topic, or contains too many images, or a large majority of the images do not have copyright information.
  5. Has few or no applicable templates and/or tables, or contains tables and/or templates which are not relevant.
  6. May have extensive vandalism. In which case the vandalism should be reverted
  7. Follows few or no applicable style and formatting guidelines for article writing on Hammerwiki.
  8. Should be marked with Template:Cleanup.

[edit] Research Needed

Research Needed articles:

  1. Is on a specific topic relevant to some part/s of WAR or the Warhammer Background.
  2. Covers some aspects of it's topic.
  3. May be divided into sub-sections which summarise too briefly applicable information.
  4. Has templates and/or tables where and if necessary which may contain incomplete or inaccurate information.
  5. Follows all or almost all applicable style and formatting guidelines for article writing on Hammerwiki.
  6. Should be marked with Template:Research needed.

[edit] Stub Articles

Stub articles:

  1. Are relevant to any part of WAR or Warhammer Background, large or small, important or unimportant.
  2. Contain a very small amount of information, usually only 1, 2 or 3 sentences.
  3. Need a lot of work to be expanded and add applicable images, templates and/or tables where necessary.
  4. May only follow a few style and formatting guidelines for article writing on Hammerwiki.
  5. Should be marked with Template:Stub or one of it's sub-templates.

[edit] Candidates for deletion

A Candidate for deletion:

  1. Is on a topic not relevant to WAR or Warhammer Background.
  2. Contains strongly copyrighted information.
  3. Fulfils the exact same purpose as another page already created.
  4. May be an article, image, category, template or any kind of page.
  5. Objections or support to/for the page being deleted should be put on the discussion page for the page.
  6. Should be marked with Template:Delete - Adding |reason directly after the word "delete", where "reason" is the reason the article should be deleted.
