The Rapscallards
The Rapscallards are a ragtag regiment of disgruntled peasant warriors under the leadership of Duke Theodric. This peasant regiment was named by Duke Thcodoric during one of his drunken stupors, long before he sought redemption at La Maisontaal. What the duke intended was never made clear, but most assume that he couldn't make up his mind between 'rapscallions' and 'cowards'. For their part, the men-at-arms of the Rapscallards hated their duke as only aggrieved commoners can, and would have happily deserted, save for the certain knowledge that their lot would have been little better elsewhere in the realm.[1a]
