Once native to the Worlds Edge Mountains in the east of Nehekhara and also the deserts to the west, Carrion are massive scavenging birds, akin to vultures. During the first great Chaos Incursion, these beasts were saturated with Dark Magic and pulled into an Undead existence, caught half-way between life and death. The Carrion's victims enlarge the bird's power and their spirits ride them into battle, feeding upon death. In Nehekharan myth, they carried the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The Carrion's body is decayed and bloated with death, its wings tattered leather.
