Black Crag was once the Dwarf stronghold of Karak Drazh, which guarded the western entrance to Death Pass in the World's Edge Mountains until it fell during the Goblin Wars, when it was captured by Warboss Dork. Since its fall and its subsequent renaming, Black Crag has become one of the mightiest strongholds occupied by the Greenskins, and over the centuries many tribes have fought to claim ownership of the Crag. Currently, a powerful warboss named Brugash Redfang commands a large force of Greenskins garrisoned at a great fort that guards the road between Karaz-a-Karak and Karak Eight Peaks, although his leadership of the area is being challenged by a huge Black Orc called Skargor.
With the Greenskins distracted by internal fighting, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer has sent a force of Oathbearers to Black Crag to establish a foothold in the area and secure the road that joins Karaz-a-Karak to Karak Eight Peaks, a thoroughfare vital to the Dwarven war effort. It is a dangerous mission; the Dwarfs will be alone and far from help, yet the outcome of the conflict in the World’s Edge Mountains may well depend upon their success. If the Dwarfs are to be successful in their campaign against the Greenskin army, they must fight their way past the numerous bands of Orcs and Goblins in the area. They must also make their way through the dangerous canyons and ravines around Black Crag, which are crawling with wyverns and creatures of Chaos.
