However, the fate of the other axe is debatable. Most people guess that the axe belongs to fabled dwarf Slayer, Gotrek Gurnisson. However, it is also said that the axe belongs to the fabled Grombrindal, The White Dwarf. the names of both their axes state that they belong to their current owner, so no leads can be drawn there.
However, both cases have evidence to support their claim. for example:
-It is regarded that Grombrindal's cloak was given to him by Valaya, as a token of esteem. therefore, he must have lived during the time when Grimnir ventured into the Chaos wastes, so he should not have been able to claim Grimnir's remaining axe. Also, if Grombrindal lived during the time of the dwarf Gods, how can he hope to still be alive at 2522 IC? Is he another Dwarfen God? Or is he, as the rumours say, an incarnation of the dwarf god Grungi?
-However, If Grombrindal was around at the time when the Dwarf Gods existed, his beard would surely be meters long wouldn't it? But no, it is only the length of Thorgrim Grudgebearer's! therefore, he could not possibly be thousands of years old, therefore he could possibly have claimed the ramaining Axe of Grimnir...
It is a very topical debate - I'll let you decide
