An Auctioneer is a NPC who grants you access to the workings of an Auction House. Some auctioneers are also "free-standing" at various places in a capital city to provide more convenient access for players.
Adele is an example of a free-standing auctioneer, who is placed beside a banker and a merchant in the War Quarters of Altdorf (loc: 36000, 24500).
