Though many would-be surgeons spend time in University acquiring the latest theories to assist them in developing their skills in medicine, many prefer the dangerous world of being on the spot, to see injuries as they occur to better understand how to repair them. Some field doctors were kicked out of school for their “creative” approach to healing. In any event, field doctors are useful allies for any group.[1a]
A field doctor patches up his boss and others his boss requires. He may offer opinions about certain courses of action, but he rarely initiates such conversation unless he is a full-fledged member of his employer’s group.[1a]
